How do I create an account on QCGameFest.com?

Under the “Site Login” section of the menu you’ll see the “Create an account” option. If you click that, you’ll be taken to a page where you can create an account. After creating your account, verify it by email and then return to qcgamefest.com and login again. You’ll need to create an account if you want to buy a GM badge, submit events, or reserve your seat for events (reservations begin in late spring at a date to be determined.)

How can I submit an event? (PLEASE READ, WE HAVE CHANGED IT THIS YEAR)

You’ll need to purchase a GM badge from our online shop (coming soon) and you’ll then be promoted to the GM user rank. Once promoted, you’ll be able to see the Event Registration form under the “Events” section of our menu. Individuals that purchase a GM badge are expected to submit an event within a week of their purchase. If you purchase a GM badge and have not submitted an event within that time, a representative will reach out to you to see if you are having trouble submitting an event, or have changed your mind about running an event at QC Game Fest 2019. If you have not submitted an event by the cutoff date for event submission (to be determined), then you will be responsible for paying the additional $15 difference of a regular weekend badge at the door in order to attend the event.

What can I expect if I attend?

The first three QC Game Fests provided nearly $2,000 worth of play-to-win games each, a game raffle for charity, Pathfinder Double-Blinds, 3D RPG experiences, the Grind House, video game tournaments courtesy of VGE, sanctioned organized play events, and much, much more. And QC Game Fest 2019 promises to give you even more bang for your buck.

When does preregistration end and why should I preregister?

Early preregistration ends April 1st, 2019, and until that time preregistration costs only $25 per adult badge for the weekend (only $15 for moms!) Preregistration is closed after that time, and only door purchased badges will still be available for $30 (or $15 for moms.) Preregistration also gets you early access to event sign-up, a “QC Game Fest” commemorative Chessex d6 dice, and a commemorative lanyard.

How does Play-to-Win work? (PLEASE READ, WE HAVE CHANGED IT THIS YEAR)

We set up the games, you sit down to play (we’ll even teach you how!), and after you have played the game you can enter your name in a drawing to win that game at the end of the second session of each day. Unlike in years past, games will only be available to play to win from 9am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday, and once you win a game you won’t be eligible to win another game that same day. We’re trying out a modified version of the play to win give away system that other conventions use to spread out the love more and give people more opportunity to try out the games.

I would like to donate games to the Play-to-Win…

If you are a game manufacturer, distributor, or store owner and would like to donate games to the Play-to-Win, please contact us via the form on the “Contact Us” page or by the email address listed there. Anyone donating games will receive free advertising on our website and in our event book, and the games help to work well as a demo to show off the games to a wide variety of people.

Am I guaranteed to win a game I play?

As much as we’d love to give a game to each of our attendees, we can only promise a chance to win the games you play in our Play-to-Win section. When you sit down to play a Play-to-Win game, you’ll receive one entry for a chance to win that game. Players are limited to 1 entry per game no matter how many times they play it, and can only win 1 game per day.

How much does a child’s badge cost?

Two child badges for children 14 and under are included with every adult badge purchased. Children 15 and older must get an adult badge to attend (we ask that people be honest about the age of their children.) If you are needing more than two child badges per adult, please contact us via the “Contact Us” form or via the phone number listed there to purchase additional child badges as we will not be selling them in our online store.

I’m interested in becoming a vendor…

All vendor spaces for 2019 are currently filled, but if you’re interested in vending in 2020, advertising in our event book for 2019, or donating any games to the play to win, please contact us with your information via the form on the “Contact Us” page or call us at the number listed there.

I would like to advertise in your event book…

Please contact us with your information via the form on the “Contact Us” page or call us at the number listed there. Space in the event book is potentially limited, and the cutoff for participation as an advertiser is March 1, 2019.
