How do I create an account on QCGameFest.com?
Under the "Events" section of the menu you'll see the "Create an account" option. If you click that, you'll be taken to a page where you can create an account. After creating your account, verify it by email and then return to qcgamefest.com and login again. You'll need to create an account if you want to reserve your seat for events.
What can I expect if I attend?
QC Game Fest 2016 provided nearly $2,000 worth of play-to-win games, a game raffle for charity, Pathfinder Double-Blind, Memoir '44 D-Day Landings, a Mario Kart Tournament, a Warmachine tournament, and much, much more. And QC Game Fest 2017 promises to be even bigger.
When does preregistration end and why should I preregister?
Early preregistration ends December 31, 2016, and until that time preregistration costs only $20 per adult badge for the weekend. From January 1, 2017 to April 15, 2017 late preregistration increases to $25 per adult badge for the weekend. Preregistration will not be accepted after April 15, 2017, and the price per adult badge for the weekend is $30 at the door. Preregistration also gets you early access to event sign-up, a "QC Game Fest" commemorative Chessex d6 dice, and a commemorative lanyard.
What is Play-to-Win?
We set up the games, you sit down to play (we'll even teach you how!), and after you have played the game you enter your name in a drawing to win that game at the end of the 4 hour session. So far this year we have donations from Mage Company, Smirk and Dagger, and Greyfox, with more on the way.
UPDATE: There are over 100 games in the Play-to-Win events this year.
I would like to donate games to the Play-to-Win...
If you are a game manufacturer, distributor, or store owner and would like to donate games to the Play-to-Win, please contact us via the form on the "Contact Us" page or by the email address listed there. Anyone donating games will receive free advertising on our website and in our event book, and the games help to work well as a demo to show off the games to a wide variety of people.
Am I guaranteed to win a game I play?
As much as we'd love to give a game to each of our attendees, we can only promise a chance to win the games you play in our Play-to-Win section. However, each time you play a game, you get one entry for a chance to win that copy of the game! So if you really like a game, play it more times for more chances to win it.
How much does a child's badge cost?
Two child badges for children 14 and under are included with every adult badge purchased. Children 15 and older must get an adult badge to attend (we ask that people be honest about the age of their children.) If you are needing more than two child badges per adult, please contact us via the "Contact Us" form or via the phone number listed there to purchase additional child badges as we will not be selling them in our online store (there was some confusion in 2016 with adults purchasing unneeded child badges for their children, and we'd like to avoid any problems this year regarding this matter.)
I'm interested in becoming a vendor...
All vendor spaces for 2017 are currently filled, but if you're interested in vending in 2018, advertising in our event book for 2017, or donating any games to the play to win, please contact us with your information via the form on the "Contact Us" page or call us at the number listed there.
I would like to advertise in your event book...
Please contact us with your information via the form on the "Contact Us" page or call us at the number listed there. Space in the event book is potentially limited, and the cutoff for participation as an advertiser is the first of March, 2017.
