November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and November 14th is World Diabetes Day. This is a time when diabetes advocates, in a concerted effort, tell their stories, advocate for diabetes, and raise funds for a cure for diabetes. Some of the QC Game Fest vendors are participating by offering “Sneaker Donations” during November. When you make a purchase at their store, you can make a donation to JDRF, sign your Sneaker, and it will go up on the wall or window to show your support of JDRF. The participating vendors are:
You can also follow the Quad Cities JDRF Facebook page for upcoming events throughout the month, such as JDRF Day at Fresh Blends in Bettendorf, Froyo for JDRF in Moline, and QC Mallards JDRF day! (You should go to this one! I’ll be there!)
So please go visit these vendors and make your donation while you’re getting your geek fix in their stores! The really cool cats will also go like the Quad Cities JDRF page, super cool cats will like, and comment on this post. Thanks for reading!
